Premium TAB & Scoreboard Configuration
A polished config for the TAB plugin that gives your server a clean player list and a styled scoreboard. The TAB plugin itself is free and is not included; this pack replaces its configuration files.

What's included
The download has two language sets, English and Spanish (es). Each set contains the same four files:

messages.yml | TAB command and system messages. |
Check the file names in your download before copying. Open the download and confirm the four names above match. If anything differs, follow the README that came with your download. A file with the wrong name is ignored by TAB.

Requirements
- The TAB plugin installed and running, with
plugins/TAB/generated - Any extra plugins listed on the BuiltByBit page for placeholders used in the layout
- Access to your server files and permission to reload or restart
Installation
Confirm TAB is installed
TAB must already be running and must have generated its plugins/TAB/ folder.
Back up your current files
Copy your existing config.yml, animations.yml, groups.yml, and messages.yml from plugins/TAB/ somewhere safe.
Choose a language
Open the English or the Spanish set from the download. Use all four files from the same set.
Replace the files
Copy the four files into plugins/TAB/, replacing the originals.
Reload
Run /tab reload, or restart the server, and check the console for errors.
Test in game
Join the server and confirm the player list and scoreboard display correctly.
Replacing config.yml and groups.yml overwrites your existing TAB setup. If you already had custom groups or settings, keep your backup and merge anything you want to keep by hand.
Customizing
- Edit with a plain text editor that keeps spaces and indentation. YAML does not allow tabs.
- Change one thing at a time and run
/tab reloadafter each change so errors are easy to trace. - Keep placeholders (the
%name%values) exactly as written unless you know what they refer to.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| Nothing changed in game | Files are in the wrong folder or weren't reloaded. They must be in plugins/TAB/. Run /tab reload or restart. |
Placeholders show as raw text like %something% | The plugin that provides that placeholder isn't installed or loaded. Check the dependencies listed on the BuiltByBit page. |
| TAB won't load the config | A YAML error from editing. Check the console line number for bad indentation or a missing quote, or restore your backup. |
| Mixed English and Spanish | Files from both sets were copied. Replace all four files from the same set. |
| Scoreboard doesn't show | Check config.yml for scoreboard settings and any per-world or per-permission conditions, then reload. |
| Colors look wrong | Your TAB or server version may not support the formatting used. Update TAB and re-test. |
