A clean, custom setup for the EternalTags plugin featuring unique categories, custom icons, RGB text, and a modern tags menu. The EternalTags plugin itself is not included; this pack replaces its tag, category, language, and menu files.

What's included
This pack is English only. It contains two files and two folders:

Requirements
- The EternalTags plugin installed and running, with
plugins/EternalTags/generated - Access to your server files and permission to restart
Installation
Confirm EternalTags is installed
EternalTags must already be running and must have generated its plugins/EternalTags/ folder.
Back up your current setup
Copy your whole plugins/EternalTags/ folder somewhere safe, especially your existing tags and categories.
Copy the files and folders
Copy tags.yml and categories.yml into plugins/EternalTags/. Copy the locale folder and the menus folder into the same place, keeping the structure:

Allow the files to replace the originals.
Restart the server
Restart the server and check the console for errors while EternalTags loads.
Test in game
Open the tags menu and confirm the categories, icons, and tags appear correctly. Also open the favorites menu and test selecting a tag.
Replacing tags.yml and categories.yml overwrites your existing tags and categories. If you already have custom tags, keep your backup and merge them in by hand.
Customizing
- Tags: add, remove, or edit tags in
tags.yml. - Categories: change how tags are grouped in
categories.yml. - Menus: adjust layout and icons in the three files in
menus/. - Text: edit messages in
locale/en_us.yml. - Edit with a plain text editor that keeps spaces and indentation. YAML does not allow tabs. Change one thing at a time and restart to check.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| Menus look like the default ones | The menus folder or files are in the wrong place. They must be in plugins/EternalTags/menus/. Restart the server. |
| Messages are in the default text | locale/en_us.yml is missing or in the wrong folder. Check it is in plugins/EternalTags/locale/. |
| Plugin won't load a file | A YAML error from editing. Check the console line number for bad indentation or a missing quote, or restore your backup. |
| Tags are missing | They may have been overwritten. Check tags.yml and your backup. |
| Icons or RGB colors don't show | Your EternalTags or server version may not support the formatting used. Update EternalTags and re-test. |
